Backyard was actively eroding into the drainage canal. Built a 40-linear-foot segmental block retaining wall to 4 feet, backfilled with compacted fill, installed French drain at wall base, and re-sodded 800 sq ft of Floratam St. Augustine. Fence was saved. Property line stabilized.
Port Charlotte, FL
Removed cracked and sunken asphalt driveway. Excavated 10 inches, compacted crushed limestone base in three lifts, installed concrete pavers in herringbone pattern with soldier-course border. Polymeric sand jointing. Driveway is level and rock solid.
Venice, FL
Removed Bermuda-infested lawn in full, regraded to correct low spot draining toward lanai, amended soil, installed same-day-harvest Floratam St. Augustine with staggered seam pattern. Set irrigation timer to establishment schedule before leaving.

Homeowner had water pooling against foundation after every storm. Installed 85-linear-foot perforated pipe French drain, two catch basins, regraded 1,400 sq ft of lawn at 2% slope away from structure, extended two downspouts underground to pop-up emitters at property edge.

1990s galvanized pipe system with iron-rich well water had corroded every head and clogged the mains. Full system replacement: new PVC mains, 6 zones, Hunter rotary nozzles throughout, Rachio WiFi smart controller, rain sensor. Iron filtration inline at pump.

Removed mulch beds, installed commercial weed barrier, 8 tons of brown river rock at 2.5" depth, and 120 linear feet of continuous extruded concrete curbing in stamped stone texture (earth tone). Curbing separates lawn from all beds — no annual edging needed.

Pre-season canopy thinning on 4 mature oaks and structural pruning on 3 live oaks to reduce wind resistance. 8 queen palms skinned and seed pods removed. Brazilian Pepper removed from rear corner — no permit required. Full debris hauling same day.

Removed old cracked cool deck around in-ground pool. Installed French pattern travertine on compacted base over pool deck. Travertine stays 20°F cooler than concrete in direct Florida sun — critical for a Venice Island pool deck. HOA-approved material and finish.
