Our story
Started small. Built on referrals.
Epic Horizons Landscaping was founded in North Port, Florida by Dennis — a young, hardworking landscaper who believed the local market deserved better than the oversized franchise crews and unreliable "mow and go" operations that dominate Southwest Florida.
The business grew from word of mouth. One neighbor telling another. One before-and-after photo shared in a Facebook group. One homeowner handing out our number after a sod job that turned a mud pit into a finished lawn in two days.
We work in North Port, Venice, Port Charlotte, and Englewood. Every city has different soil, different drainage challenges, different HOA rules, and different conditions. We've worked in all of them enough to know the difference — and to give you advice that's specific to your lot, not copy-pasted from a template.
We're licensed and insured. We show up on time. We don't subcontract your job to strangers. When Dennis shakes your hand at the estimate, he's the one running the crew when the work starts.
How we operate
Three things that define every job we take on.
Quality without shortcuts
Proper base compaction under every paver. Soil amendment before every plant goes in. The right depth on every drainage trench. Shortcuts save time once. Quality work means you don't call us back with a problem six months later.
We show up when we say we will
This sounds obvious. In the contractor world, it is not. If we're on your calendar, we're there. If something changes, you hear from us the day before — not the morning of, and never by silence. Communication is part of the job.
Your crew is your crew
We don't use subcontractors. The team that shows up at your property is the team that Dennis trained, works with every day, and stands behind. You know who is on your property. That's not common. It should be.
